Recipes

In the last few weeks, our literacy lessons have all been about writing instructions. We decided to write recipes for some healthy food. One of our favourites was for a Kenyan fruit salad, not only was it delicious and healthy but it fits with our topic very well. We decided to make it and went outside to enjoy it in the sunshine..

The best bit, eating it:

We took a photo of everyone eating it, even Mr Ackner!

Fraction Flags

Today the year 2's in our class went on a computer program called Fraction Flags. They loved it so much they asked me to put a link to it on the blog, so here it is:

You can use it if you're in year 1 too. It's a game where you have to design flags using halves and quarters, it's hours of fun, have a go!

Our Assembly

Last Friday was our  class assembly, we performed a play of one of our favourite books, Lila and the Secret of the Rain. It was a lot of fun to rehearse and even more fun to perform in front of the school. All the children really enjoyed doing it and asked if we could do it every week.

Lila, mama and the villagers:

The special effects controller did an excellent job with the lighting and sound.

After sports day we sat on the grass to watch the teacher's race.

Then we went back to class for a big drink of water..
